Your Pet-Friendly Stay in Vancouver Starts Here

Jul 23, 2025

Discover what to expect when staying at a pet friendly hotel in Vancouver, including amenities, tips for traveling with pets, and local spots to explore with your furry friend.

What Makes Atrium Hotel Vancouver Pet-Friendly? Here's the Scoop (and the Treats!)

At Atrium Hotel Vancouver, we believe your furry companion deserves a vacation just as much as you do. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to create a stay that’s as comfortable and welcoming for pets as it is for their humans.

For starters, we offer a pet-friendly rate of just $35.00 per day, which includes a special treat at check-in to make your pet feel like the VIP (Very Important Pet) they are. From tail wags to purrs, we’ve seen it all—and we love it.

But the perks don’t stop at the front desk. Step outside and you’ll find our hotel is surrounded by some of Vancouver’s most scenic and pet-friendly green spaces. Take a relaxing stroll through Hastings Park, where you and your pet can explore the Opera Walk, serene Momiji Garden, and the peaceful Sanctuary Pond. For a more expansive adventure, New Brighton Park is just 1.5 km away and offers stunning views of the North Vancouver mountains—perfect for a sunset walk or a photo op with your pup. And if you’re looking for a quick nearby escape, Calister Park is only an 8-minute walk from the hotel and ideal for a casual play session or a quiet sit under the trees.

At Atrium Hotel Vancouver, pets aren’t just allowed—they’re celebrated. So, pack the leash, bring the kibble, and get ready for a stay both you and your four-legged friend will remember.

  • The Laughing Bean – Known for its community charm and strong coffee, they welcome pets at their outdoor tables. Grab a baked treat for yourself and sip while your dog enjoys some fresh air.

Pro tip: Call ahead or check their websites/socials, especially in cooler months, as patio access may vary by season.

Traveling with Pets: Tips for a Smooth & Stress-Free Stay

Whether you’re a seasoned pet traveler or this is your pup’s first big adventure, these tips will help ensure a happy and safe stay:

  • Pack Their Essentials:
Bring along their favorite bed or blanket, food, bowls, leash, waste bags, and any medications they need. Having familiar items around helps reduce anxiety in a new space.
  • Don’t Skip the Exercise:
A well-walked dog is a happy (and calm) hotel guest. Take advantage of nearby parks before settling in for the evening.
  • Bring a Toy or Chew:
Chew toys or puzzle feeders help keep pets entertained while you’re relaxing in the room—or exploring a human-only activity.
  • Be Considerate of Other Guests:
Keep your pet leashed in common areas, and please don’t leave them unattended in the room for long periods (especially if they tend to bark or get anxious). I would change “for long periods of time” usually no pets left unattended OR if left unattended, must be in kennel sort of wording. Leave it up to you but thought I would highlight
